A Skillry alternative for video styles in Claude Code
Skillry and ReelStyles both sell skills that make an AI coding agent's output look designed. Skillry covers four areas (web, slides, images and video) and works in six agents. ReelStyles covers one: complete film styles for your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others), rendered on your computer with HyperFrames. If you want one subscription for many kinds of output, Skillry fits that better. If your goal is videos with a consistent look from the first scene to the last, read on.
We make ReelStyles, so we are not neutral. Everything below about Skillry comes from its own website and public listings on 16 October 2026; where a number is Skillry's own claim, we say so.
What Skillry offers
- A library of what Skillry's site calls "400+ Skills" across Web, Slides, Image and Video.
- Each skill is a SKILL.md file with templates and scripts, and the site shows sample output before you install.
- Video skills include launch videos styled after Manus, Linear and Notion, and skills built on HyperFrames.
- Some video skills call outside image or video models (GPT Image, Seedance) and may need your own API key for them.
- A directory listing says 41 skills are free without a card.
- Prices on skillry.dev: $9.99 a month, $79 a year, or $169 lifetime at a founding price that rises as the library grows. Every tier includes all premium skills and future ones.
- Delivery as a ZIP from the site or through Skillry's CLI. It lists support for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Kimi and OpenCode.
How ReelStyles differs
ReelStyles is narrower on purpose. Every kit is one film style: palette, characters, scene templates, motion and cut rules, and a checklist the agent grades its own stills against before rendering. There are 72 ready styles today, from 80s cel anime and Primal toon to the Neon Deck SaaS launch look, each with an example film made by a fresh Claude Code given only the kit, and 28 of them are tested as native 9:16 films for Shorts and Reels.
The kits draw everything in code and render with HyperFrames on your machine, so no style calls an outside image or video model and nothing is billed per second. Your Claude plan's usage is the running cost.

Which to pick
Choose Skillry if you want slides, web and image skills in the same subscription, or a monthly plan instead of one payment.
Choose ReelStyles if you make videos with an AI agent and want a whole film in one look, with the same characters in every scene, a vertical version for Shorts, and no outside model in the loop. Browse the styles first. Every one has an 8-second example made the way you would make yours.
Some people will use both. The two do not conflict, since each is a set of instructions in a folder.
