Terms and withdrawal

Last updated: 20 October 2026

1. Who you deal with

ReelStyles is run by Marina García Llorca, Pommernstraße 17, 27749 Delmenhorst, Deutschland, diloenaleman@gmail.com (see Impressum). Orders are processed by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record: Polar sells you the licence, takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles VAT. Polar's own buyer terms apply to the purchase as well.

2. What you buy

A personal licence to the ReelStyles kits: our own style kits (rules, scene templates, characters) and format recipes, delivered as read access to a private GitHub repository and as a zip download. It is a one-time payment, with no subscription. Your repository access stays open for as long as ReelStyles runs, including styles we add later. The price is the founding price open at the time you buy (see Pricing). Prices include VAT.

3. What you may do

4. What you may not do

We may remove repository access from a buyer who shares or resells the kits.

5. Open-source components

Parts of some kits are derived from open-source projects under their own licences (MIT, Apache-2.0); their notices are in each kit's LICENSES folder and those licences, not these terms, govern those parts.

6. No promise of results

We do not promise views, subscribers, monetisation approval or income. Platforms decide on their own rules.

7. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the repository and downloads available but do not guarantee it at every moment. Files you have downloaded stay yours to use under these terms. We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation (one that makes the contract possible and on which you may rely), and then only for the damage typical and foreseeable when the contract was made. Your statutory rights for defects in digital products (§§ 327 ff. BGB) are not affected.

8. Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation). We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).

Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsbelehrung)

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise it, tell Marina García Llorca, Pommernstraße 17, 27749 Delmenhorst, Deutschland, diloenaleman@gmail.com by a clear statement (for example an email) that you withdraw. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send it before the period ends.

If you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you (the refund is paid out by Polar, our merchant of record) without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days, using the same payment method, at no cost to you.

Early end of the right of withdrawal

The kits are digital content not supplied on a physical medium and are delivered right after payment (repository invite and download link). At checkout you are asked to agree that delivery starts before the withdrawal period ends and to confirm that you know you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has started. If you give both, your right of withdrawal ends when the kits are delivered. You receive a confirmation of this by email with your receipt.

14-day money-back promise

Separately from the legal right above, we give a voluntary promise: if you write to diloenaleman@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase, we refund the full price without asking for a reason, even after the kits were delivered. Repository access and the download end when the refund is made, and you agree to delete the kit files you downloaded. This promise does not limit your statutory rights.
